Low-class accommodations, guest rooms are called "Komnati otdicha". These so-called low-class hotels have only one thing common with real hotels. It's only in the name.These guest rooms are located mostly in the vicinity of railway stations, stadiums and schools.
The prices of these places are very low. Accommodation costs from UHR 5-15 per person, depending on the standard.In such a places do not expect luxuries. Inmates rather unreliable, there is no hot water and showers, bathrooms are located on floors. The staff of such hotels, however, does not pose any problems when it comes to accommodation and it is practically the cheapest possible accommodation in Ukraine.
Usually, there live at least 4 people in one room. Newcomers joins to the people already living. In most cases the rate is paid only in cash.Each hotel has available rooms of various standards, including dormitories. The cheapest two are marked with category III. They are quite primitive. Rooms are small, modestly furnished, most with no bathrooms.
In most hotel rooms condition of the equipment is deplorable. State-owned hotels aren't repaired or upgraded. Equipments are: radio, TV, chairs and furniture from the early 70s. Most of the old hotels haven’t got showers, only baths. In some hotels you pay extra for the use of television or radio. They are so called "Mandatory sets", so even if you do not want these appliances, you would pay for it.
